Watauga group is seeking an ambitious, highly motivated Client Services Director with significant agency experience and expertise across multiple marketing disciplines. Most importantly this person must excel at delivering outstanding client service and effective business-driven marketing strategies for outdoor industry brands. The Client Services Director should also have proven business development experience winning new opportunities for integrated marketing solutions. This person must excel at fostering collaboration within a team while working towards achieving performance objectives for both agency and clients. Watauga Group is a fully remote environment, so this person must be highly self-driven and able to achieve client and agency growth goals with little direction. The Client Servicer Director reports to the SVP, Managing Director and works closely with Watauga’s senior leadership team.

What You Will Do

  • Act as your client’s primary contact and point of accountability, leading a cross-agency Watauga team to deliver outstanding client service and unmatched marketing solutions. Negotiate fees, contracts, and manage client budgets, and scopes of work.
  • Lead new business opportunities in the outdoor industry category, collaborating with agency leaders and SMEs to develop and present winning ideas and proposals based on research and strategic insights.
  • Navigate difficult conversations with tact and professionalism, resolving challenges between teams both internally and externally with clients.
  • Interpret marketing KPIs and provide strategic insights, analyzing data to identify new opportunities for marketing optimization and client success (sales, market share, etc.).
  • Manage achievement of agency’s financial metrics including Client AGI, service line revenue, profitability, YOY growth, team utilization, etc.
  • Stay updated on marketing trends, tools, and technology, leveraging industry and market knowledge to inform client strategies.
  • Attend and represent Watauga Group at key industry events and conferences.
  • Achieve client satisfaction as measured by retention, organic growth, survey results, etc.
  • Foster and maintain camaraderie and a culture of teamwork within your assigned team members.

Your Qualifications

  • 5-7 years of marketing agency experience successfully leading and growing clients. Marketing and/or agency experience with outdoor related brands is mandatory.
  • Expertise in creating and delivering integrated, multidiscipline marketing solutions such as traditional and digital advertising, public relations and influencer marketing, social media, SEO and content marketing.
  • Successful experience nurturing, pitching, and winning new business opportunities, preferably in the outdoor category.
  • A personal passion and interest in outdoor activities, recreation, adventure travel, etc.
  • Ability to develop senior client relationships, understand their business issues and challenges, and develop a successful ongoing partnership.
  • Superior communication skills both written and presentation, both in person and via technology platforms (Teams, Zoom, Webex, etc.)
  • Highly curious, asks great questions, and listens intently.
  • A growth mindset with an innate bias for making things happen without waiting for direction or answers that may not exist.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or related field.

Watauga Group is seeking a Digital Media Manager who has a strong background in paid digital media with an emphasis on Paid Search. This role will be responsible for executing & managing performance driven campaign activation, analysis, optimization, and reporting. This is a client facing role working with both the client(s) and internal account teams. This position reports to the Associate Director of Digital Media Services.

What You Will Do

  • Assist managing multiple clients with activation, management, analysis, optimization, and reporting for paid digital media campaigns across multiple platforms (Search, Social, and Programmatic)
  • Maintain and optimize campaign performance at each applicable level (channel, tactic, audience, ad) based on client objective
  • Conduct A/B testing and experiments to improve performance and overall campaign effectiveness
  • Support and mentor coordinator and associate level digital team members with activation, management, optimization, tracking, and reporting
  • Provide and present regular reports and performance insights to clients, highlighting key metrics, trends, and recommendations for improvement
  • Collaborate with the Data Team to develop and monitor client reporting and dashboards
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Strategy and Media to bring a holistic approach to client management with strategy, planning, and optimization
  • Assist with the billing process related to client digital media platform invoicing and reconciliation
  • Assist with developing compelling ad copy, headlines, and extensions that align with client objectives and resonate with target audiences

Your Qualifications
